Ierubaʻala

Ierubaʻala

(14)

Lunk 6:32No laila kapa akula ʻo ia iā ia i kēlā lā, ʻo Ierubaʻala, ʻī aʻela, Na Baʻala e hakakā me ia, no ka mea, ua hoʻohiolo ʻo ia i kona kuahu. So because Gideon broke down Baal’s altar, they gave him the name Jerub-Baal that day, saying, “Let Baal contend with him.”
Lunk 7:1A laila, ʻo Ierubaʻala, ʻo ia hoʻi ʻo Gideona, a me nā kānaka a pau me ia, ala aʻela lākou i kakahiaka nui, a hoʻomākaukau ihola ma ka luawai o Haroda. Aia hoʻi ka pūʻali o ko Midiana ma ka ʻaoʻao kūkulu ʻākau o lākou, ma ka pāpū e kokoke ana i ka puʻu ʻo More.Early in the morning, Jerub-Baal (that is, Gideon) and all his men camped at the spring of Harod. The camp of Midian was north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh.
Lunk 8:29Hele akula ʻo Ierubaʻala ke keiki a Ioasa, a noho ihola ma kona hale iho.Jerub-Baal son of Joash went back home to live.
Lunk 8:35ʻAʻole lākou i lokomaikaʻi aku i ko ka hale o Ierubaʻala, ʻo ia hoʻi ʻo Gideona, e like me nā mea maikaʻi a pau āna i hana mai ai i ka ʻIseraʻela. They also failed to show any loyalty to the family of Jerub-Baal (that is, Gideon) in spite of all the good things he had done for them.
Lunk 9:1Hele akula ʻo ʻAbimeleka, ke keiki a Ierubaʻala, i Sekema, i nā hoahānau o kona makuahine, a ʻōhumu pū ihola me lākou a me ka ʻohana a pau o ka makua kāne o kona makuahine, ʻī aʻela,Abimelek son of Jerub-Baal went to his mother’s brothers in Shechem and said to them and to all his mother’s clan,
Lunk 9:2Ke noi aku nei au iā ʻoukou, e ʻōlelo aku ʻoukou ma nā pepeiao o nā kānaka o Sekema, He aha ka maikaʻi iā ʻoukou, i lilo nā kānaka, he kanahiku, i aliʻi ma luna o ʻoukou, ʻo ia hoʻi nā keiki a pau o Ierubaʻala, i lilo paha ke kanaka hoʻokahi i aliʻi ma luna o ʻoukou? E hoʻomanaʻo hoʻi, no ko ʻoukou iwi ʻau, a no ko ʻoukou ʻiʻo.“Ask all the citizens of Shechem, ‘Which is better for you: to have all seventy of Jerub-Baal’s sons rule over you, or just one man?’ Remember, I am your flesh and blood.”
Lunk 9:5Hele akula ʻo ia i ka hale o kona makua kāne, ma ʻOpera, a pepehi akula i kona poʻe hoahānau, i nā keiki a Ierubaʻala, he kanahiku kānaka, ma ka pōhaku hoʻokahi. Koe nō naʻe ʻo Iotama ke keiki kāne muli loa a Ierubaʻala, no ka mea, ua peʻe ʻo ia.He went to his father’s home in Ophrah and on one stone murdered his seventy brothers, the sons of Jerub-Baal. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerub-Baal, escaped by hiding.
Lunk 9:16Inā i hana ʻoukou me ka ʻoiaʻiʻo, a me ka pono, i ko ʻoukou hoʻāliʻi ʻana iā ʻAbimeleka, a inā i hana maikaʻi ʻoukou iā Ierubaʻala, a me kona poʻe, a inā i hana ʻoukou iā ia e like me ka pono o kona mau lima:“Have you acted honorably and in good faith by making Abimelek king? Have you been fair to Jerub-Baal and his family? Have you treated him as he deserves?
Lunk 9:19No laila, inā i hana ʻoukou i kēia lā me ka ʻoiaʻiʻo, a me ka pono iā Ierubaʻala, a me ko kona hale, a laila, e ʻoliʻoli ʻoukou iā ʻAbimeleka, a e ʻoliʻoli nō hoʻi ʻo ia iā ʻoukou:So have you acted honorably and in good faith toward Jerub-Baal and his family today? If you have, may Abimelek be your joy, and may you be his, too!
Lunk 9:24I kau mai ka loko ʻino ʻia o nā keiki a Ierubaʻala, he kanahiku, a me ko lākou koko, i kau mai ia ma luna o ʻAbimeleka, ʻo ko lākou kaikaina, ka mea i luku mai iā lākou, a ma luna hoʻi o nā kānaka o Sekema, ka poʻe i hoʻoikaika i kona lima e luku i kona poʻe hoahānau.God did this in order that the crime against Jerub-Baal’s seventy sons, the shedding of their blood, might be avenged on their brother Abimelek and on the citizens of Shechem, who had helped him murder his brothers.
Lunk 9:28ʻĪ maila Gaʻala, ke keiki a ʻEbeda, ʻO wai ʻo ʻAbimeleka, a ʻo wai hoʻi ʻo Sekema, i mālama aku kākou iā ia? ʻAʻole anei ia ke keiki a Ierubaʻala, a ʻo Zebula kona luna? E mālama ʻoukou i kānaka o Hamora, i ka makua kāne o Sekema. No ke aha kākou e mālama iā ia nei? Then Gaal son of Ebed said, “Who is Abimelek, and why should we Shechemites be subject to him? Isn’t he Jerub-Baal’s son, and isn’t Zebul his deputy? Serve the family of Hamor, Shechem’s father! Why should we serve Abimelek?
Lunk 9:57A hoʻopaʻi nō hoʻi ke Akua i ka hewa a pau o nā kānaka o Sekema ma luna o ko lākou poʻo iho. A ma luna o lākou i hiki mai ai hoʻi ka hōʻino a Iotama, ke keiki a Ierubaʻala.God also made the people of Shechem pay for all their wickedness. The curse of Jotham son of Jerub-Baal came on them.
1-Sam 12:11A hoʻouna mai ʻo Iēhova iā Ierubaʻala, a me Bedana, a me Iepeta, a me Samuʻela, a hoʻopakele mai iā ʻoukou i ka lima o ko ʻoukou poʻe ʻenemi ma nā ʻaoʻao a pau, a noho maluhia ihola ʻoukou. Then the LORD sent Jerub-Baal, Barak, Jephthah and Samuel, and he delivered you from the hands of your enemies on every side, so that you lived securely.
